You've earned their trust in your events. Now earn it for your voice. The budget is tight, a sponsor is nervous, and the room goes quiet. Everyone turns to you. What You'll Learn

You already know what should happen. This course helps you say it so it lands.

In this course, Anthony Vade, CED, shows you how to frame your recommendations in business terms. You’ll build the trust that makes your input carry weight, and you’ll learn to guide decisions without waiting for a new title. You’ll come away with language you can use the next morning.

By the end of the course, you’ll be able to:

  • Walk into any stakeholder conversation knowing what they really need, not just what they asked for.
  • Build a team culture where people take smart risks because they trust each other.
  • Pitch a bold event idea in the language executives use: revenue, risk, and results.

What You’ll Master

Discover hidden needs. When a stakeholder asks for one thing but needs another, you’ll know how to find the real goal. Structured frameworks help you uncover what audiences and stakeholders actually need, so every event earns its place.

Translate creativity into business value. When your best idea meets a skeptical executive, you’ll make the case in their terms. Frame bold concepts around revenue, risk, and results, and build trust with leadership along the way.

Inspire innovation at scale. When your team is stuck in “how we’ve always done it,” you’ll lead them somewhere better. Proven ideation models help you spark breakthrough ideas and turn them into action.

Position yourself as indispensable. When the industry shifts, you’ll be the one who saw it coming and had a plan. Anticipate change and drive the decisions that make you a strategic partner, not just the person who delivers the plan.

Who Should Enroll

This course is for you if people already rely on your judgment, but your influence hasn’t caught up with your responsibility.

  • You’re a planner ready to be heard as a strategist. You know what should happen. You want to say it so leaders act on it.
  • You’re a manager whose team looks to you in tense moments. You want to set direction with confidence, even when information is messy.
  • You’re a senior leader whose programs have proven their worth. Now you want to shape how your organization thinks about events, not defend them one by one.

Whether you work in events, marketing, operations or somewhere in between, your title matters less than the moments you’re ready to lead.

No prerequisites. Come as you are, and bring the challenges you’re facing right now.

For HR & Talent Leaders

Your team has the skills. Do they have the influence?

Your people plan well, execute well, and deliver results you can point to. But defending a budget, pushing back on a stakeholder, or making the case for a bigger seat at the table is a different skill. Most event and marketing teams are never taught it directly.

That gap doesn’t show up on a performance review. It shows up in the room, when your team’s expertise doesn’t turn into the influence it should.

Why organizations enroll their teams:

  • A shared language for influence. When a team learns together, they come back using the same frameworks in every stakeholder conversation.
  • A stronger leadership bench. Develop the rising leaders your organization depends on and build your succession pipeline from within.
  • Impact leaders can see. Your people learn to frame their work in terms of revenue, risk and results, so their value is clear to the executives who fund it.
  • Professional credit that counts. The course earns 6 CE hours toward CMP credit through PCMA Institute’s EIC Preferred Provider status.

Treat influence as a core skill to develop, not an extra. Enroll your team together and build it across your organization.
